A sake cup decorated with a bold chrysanthemum motif painted in gosu cobalt.
The petals are drawn with confident brushstrokes, spreading naturally along the rounded form of the cup.
The contrast between the soft white porcelain and the deep blue brushwork gives it a lively yet balanced presence.
Made by Baizan Kiln, one of the well-known kilns of Tobe ware.
Founded in the Meiji period, the kiln has long produced everyday tableware, influenced by the Japanese Mingei movement and its philosophy of beauty in daily use.
A simple yet expressive piece that fits comfortably in the hand.
Size: approx. Ø5.5 × H5cm
• In excellent condition with no noticeable flaws. Please enjoy the quiet character that develops with time.
