Small lidded vessel, likely a kōgō (incense container) from Mashiko ware. Made from red clay with a grayish-olive ash glaze that shows fine crackles, it features a simple iron-painted plant motif on the lid. The contrast between the warm clay body and the cool glaze gives it a rustic yet refined charm.
While originally intended as a kōgō in the tea ceremony, it can also serve as a small container for accessories or spices.
