The reddish clay body reveals soft firing marks created in the kiln.
Faint wheel marks remain along the body, with subtle variations where ash has settled during firing.
As the angle changes, the surface shows different tones, creating the quiet, natural expression typical of Bizen ware.
Bizen ware is one of Japan’s oldest pottery traditions, fired at high temperatures without glaze.
Ash and flame inside the kiln create natural variations, so no two pieces develop exactly the same surface.
This cup carries those gentle traces of the firing process.
Made by Hieda Juen of Fusen Kiln. Comes with the original wooden box.
Size: approx. Ø7 × H7.5cm
• In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Please enjoy the quiet charm of a piece that has gently aged over time.
