How our pieces find their way to you
Sourcing in Japan
We trust what we feel when we hold it.
We travel across Japan —
visiting flea markets, kilns, and makers —
carefully picking up each piece with our own hands.
We are not guided by era or category.
What matters to us is something harder to define —
perhaps not perfectly flawless,
but something that quietly lingers in the mind.
We choose by trusting that feeling.
Bringing them home
We carry the responsibility of what we choose.
Whenever possible, we bring each piece back ourselves —
from Japan to Switzerland.
Carefully wrapped, packed into suitcases and boxes,
and carried across continents.
There is only so much we can transport.
That is why we think carefully —
about what to choose, and what to leave behind.
Preparing to share
Understanding each piece, and shaping how it is seen.
Once home, every item is examined individually.
We look closely at its material, its surface, and the atmosphere formed over time —
considering how best to communicate its character.
To let its charm come through clearly,
we take care with both photography and words.
Packing & Shipping
Carefully wrapped, and sent on its way.
Because many pieces are delicate,
we wrap each one according to its shape and material, placing it securely in its box.
Above all, we want it to arrive safely.
And when the box is opened,
we hope it feels like a quiet moment of discovery.
