An antique soba choko from the late Edo to Bakumatsu period (mid-19th century). The soft bleeds of the pale blue underglaze and the gentle texture of the porcelain create a calm, refined impression. Delicately painted pines and a bird with a subtly charming expression strike a beautiful balance in the design.
Its compact size makes it ideal not only for soba dipping sauce, but also for serving nuts, sake, or small dishes.
